CO-CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES

Scout and Guide Camp:
A camp is held in the college campus under Scouting and Guiding service programme every year. Boys and girls learn the art of life and how to do community work.

National Service Scheme:

The special camp (for day and night) of N.S.S. has been conducted in slum areas or any village every year in which works of social services have been done as cleanliness, water conservation, environmental development, transplantation, health improvement, food and nutrition, women empowerment, literacy, and social welfare programme etc.

Working Committees:

Two prominent committees of lecturers have been organized for the supervision and helping in conducting the different programs in the college. 1. Supervisory Committee: - to make sure that everything is done correctly about physical infrastructure and gardening etc. 2. Welcome Committee: - to arrange all the necessary facilities for co-curricular activities and functions. 3. Proctorial Board: - a well maintained reading environment is spreading over under the bosoms of proctorial board or disciplinary committee.

Women Empowerment Cell:
There is established ‘Women Empowerment Cell’ for developing women life in the college according to the UGC norms. All the girls are natural members of this cell without any fee. This cell conducts Poster, Rangoli, Mehndi and Fancy dress competitions, Essay, Debates, and other programs of awareness among the girl students groups.

College Health Center:

There is a health center in the college for students’ fitness and for providing first aid and proper treatment.

Employment Information and Guidance Bureau:

This bureau is running in the college to assist the students in choosing the careers or courses. The other main functions of the bureau are: - 1.To provide information and guidance on educational or vocational matters. 2. To prepare guidance literature to help the students in connection of direction for competitive examination. 3. To provide the facility of Photostat machine for coping the educational documents etc.

Sahitya – Kala Parishad:
This Parishad is formed in the college according to direction of C.C.S. University, Meerut which conducts seminars and workshops in relation with literature and art. This Parishad periodically organized functions to promote the cultural activities and trains the students in the art of speech by organizing debates, declamations and poetic recitations etc. There is conducted a yearly talent hunt show programme in the college and chosen individual aspirant in dance, singing, acting and speech etc. Selected participants are awarded merrily.

College Magazine:

The students are given opportunity for self-expression through the college magazine ‘Bhavagandha’ which is brought out once in a year. Deserving students are appointed as student editors for Hindi and English section of the magazine on the basis of a test consolation with the chief editor. The students are required to submit their articles to their respective student editor by a decided date.

Sports Competitions:
The athletic competitions as short and long races, long and high jumps, and many throws etc., and the game competitions as kabaddi, Kho-kho, badminton and volleyball etc. have been conducted in the vastly spacious college playground for boys and girls. There is a good arrangement for training of yoga and martial arts.

College Tours:

There are tour programs to demonstration or workshop related to different educational or academic subjects, historical and charming nature places. In case of mixed contingent consisting of both the girls and boys, a lady teacher must accompany the contingent.
